Fashion Design
With all of Allison’s designs, she aims to create pieces that have dramatic components that you don’t see everyday. She strives to design unique pieces, but also seeks sustainable materials to do so. Her love of creating avant-garde looks often requires unconventional materials to execute the vision. Allison’s designs often have vintage influences and she’s especially drawn to the colors, patterns, and silhouettes found in the 1960’s and 70’s. Though some of her creations may have vintage elements, the designs themselves are always modern, fresh, and sometimes even futuristic.
These designs were all made from sustainable and recycled materials. The designs were created from such things as a thrifted tablecloth, a blanket, seven chambray used work shirts, a pair of torn pleather pants, 630 feet of recycled cords, 50 feet of laminate floor trim, and other second-hand trimmings and notions.
